Beach Roaming...

Mama's birthday gift this year was a weekend at the beach, and what a weekend it was! The weather was glorious and the kids were on great form. We took a hike at Heceta Head Lighthouse, visited the Oregon Coast Aquarium, and took numerous trips down to the water to fly kites, find shells and run away from the waves.

We need to go there more often! The wind was so perfect, that all three kids were able to fly kites and Micah and Toby could even launch the kites by themselves after they crashed. The funniest thing though was Micah discovering what happened when you let go of a kite. The first time it happened and the kite flew off down the beach with Meme running screaming after it, he was very surprised. The second time, he was intrigued. The third time, Meme got wise and kept her hand around the string so that there were no more free form flights!
