Vegas, Baby

Two weeks after our trip to NYC, guess where we were headed??? VEGAS, BABY! Mum's work treated us to a weekend in Sin City where we all were overwhelmed by the lights, sounds and absolute craziness that IS Vegas. We stayed at Ceasars in a lovely room with mirrors and a swimming pool-sized bath tub. We had many a baths in there with Toby!

The highlight of the trip was getting to see Elton John! Toby didn't get to go, darn it all, but he had spent a lovely evening with the company pilot showing how fast he could run. The story we hear is that he ran from one side of the hotel room to the other the whole time we were gone and only slowed down to watch a bit of Curious George.

Elton John is amazing! He's about 60 and can belt his songs out just as well as he could when he was a kid....he doesn't move around quite a much, but wowza what a show! If you get to Vegas anytime soon, we highly recommend the show -- The Red Piano. A warning...it's raunchy...but hey, you're in Vegas, so you should be ready for anything!

Another highlight was seeing the water show in front of the Belagio. You know the ending of Ocean's Twelve where all the crooks meet up, wax philosophical, divvy up the money and watch the water show? That's the one we saw. It is SO great! I wish we could have seen in again. Toby loved it.

When do we get to go again?

Between this trip and our trip to NYC/Chicago, we are amply prepared for our 10 hour flight to London in May. Wish us luck!
