To Crawl or To Walk, That IS the Question

Toby is officially scooching backwards, although he's sooo much more interested in walking instead of crawling. He keeps standing up, turning and letting go....he has his first official egg on his head from an adventure today. I was letting him do his own thing....sitting away far enough so he could. He was happy, happy, banging away on his stand up toy. How did he do a 180 and end up knocking himself on the bottom shelf of the coffee table? Oh dear. And, the worst thing is that he just doesn't understand WHY it hurts!! We ran and got an icepack--adding insult to injury of course. WHY IS IT SO COLD? and WHY DOES IT HURT?? Luckily the ice worked and it doesn't look as bad as we originally thought. Poor kid! I don't think it will slow him down on the trail to walking though...he was back at his toy banging away on it before we knew it.
